Plug-in Panel (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

The Plug-in panel specifies plug-in level metadata, such as the title, description, company name, version, copyright, URL, and globally unique identifier (GUID). Most of these properties are displayed in the Plug-in Explorer properties panel when a plug-in is selected. The following table describes each of these elements.

Element Description

Title

The title of the plug-in that is to be displayed when the plug-in is loaded in the Remote Tools shell. You can associate a string with any of the locales you have chosen on the Locales panel. The number of title entries shown in this multi-column list box is the same as the number of locales selected on the Locales panel.

To edit the title, click the title text, and once the text highlights, type the desired title.

Description

The description of the plug-in. Like the plug-in title, you can associate a string with any of the locales you have chosen on the Locales panel. The number of descriptions shown in this list box is the same as the number of locales selected on the Locales panel.

To edit the description, click the desired description text, and once the text is highlights, type the desired text.

Company name

The name of the company associated with the plug-in.

Version

The version of the plug-in.

Copyright

The copyright statement for the plug-in.

URL

The URL to associate with the plug-in.

GUID

The GUID associated with the plug-in. The edit box is read-only.

To assign a new value, click Change Guid.
