This method retrieves the Brush used to paint the background for the selected text in this password box.

Syntax

Parameters

ppSelectionBackground
[out] Pointer to a pointer to an IXRBrush derived object that paints the background of the selected text.

Return Value

Returns an HRESULT that indicates success or failure.

Remarks

The brush in ppSelectionBackground changes the background of the selected password displayed in this password box. For example, a brush for the selection background can represent a solid color, or a linear or radial gradient. For more information about brush classes derived from IXRBrush, see IXRBrush.

To use a specific interface pointer type, you can use the helper template version of this method that Silverlight for Windows Embedded provides. When you supply a derived type, this version automatically supplies a type-safe method that implicitly converts the returned type from a generic interface so you do not have to explicitly call QueryInterface to convert the generic interface into the required object type.
