The following table shows the ToolTips notification, with a description of its purpose.

Programming element	Description
TTN_GETDISPINFO	This notification is sent by a ToolTip control to retrieve information needed to display a ToolTip window.
TTN_NEEDTEXT	This notification is sent by a ToolTip control to retrieve information needed to display a ToolTip window.
TTN_POP	This notification notifies the owner window that a ToolTip is about to be hidden.
TTN_SHOW	This notification notifies the owner window that a ToolTip control is about to be displayed.
