Prerequisites for the IR Port Test (Winsock 1.1) (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)
1/6/2010
The following tables show the hardware requirement for the IR Port Test (Winsock 1.1).
Requirement | Description |
---|---|
Two installed IR devices |
You must install one IR device on a Windows Embedded CE–based test server and another IR device on a Windows Embedded CE–based test client. You should position the IR devices in close proximity to one another. You should point each IR device directly at the other IR device. |
You can run the IR Port Test (Winsock 1.1) using either IR or a TCP/IP network as a control channel. If you use a TCP/IP network, the client and server must be on the TCP/IP network and must be able to communicate with each other.
Note
You can run the IR Port Test (Winsock 1.1) without a server.
The following tables show the software requirements for running the IR Port Test (Winsock 1.1) on the test client.
Requirement | Description |
---|---|
Tux.exe |
Test harness, required for executing the test |
Kato.dll |
Logging engine, required for logging test data |
Irapi11.dll |
Library containing test cases |
The following table shows the software requirements for running the IR Port Test (Winsock 1.1) on the test server.
Requirements | Description |
---|---|
Kato.dll |
Logging engine, required for logging test data |
Irapisrv11.exe |
Library containing test cases |
To run the IR Port Test (Winsock 1.1), you must include support for Winsock 1.1 and IR in your Windows Embedded CE OS design.
