Touch Panel Test (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

1/6/2010

The Touch Panel Test tests the application programming interface for a driver for a touch panel as defined in the Tchddi.h header file. This test verifies the capabilities of the driver, attempts to calibrate the touch panel, and ensures that the driver and touch panel hardware are working properly.

Note

The Touch Panel Test does not test mouse drivers. For information about testing mouse drivers, see Mouse Test.

This test requires you to interact with the touch panel. You must follow the instructions on the display to run the test correctly. When the test prompts you, you must perform the requested action. If you do not complete the action, the test times out and fails. The test times out after approximately 10 seconds.

In some cases, the test requires you to choose Yes or No in response to a question. To respond, you must tap the part of the touch panel that contains the appropriate response.

When you complete the test, the operating system does not regain control of the touch panel. You must reset the touch panel to restore normal operation.

Note

Touch panel tests are not supported on the Device Emulator.
