Adobe Flash Player ActiveX Control (Compact 7)

3/12/2014

You can add support for the playback of videos or animations that are compatible with Adobe Flash Player to Internet Explorer Embedded by including the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX Control component in your OS design.

Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control supports multi-touch gestures if the Touch Gestures GWES component is included in your OS design.

Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control can take advantage of hardware acceleration if your device hardware supports DirectDraw hardware acceleration and your OS design contains hardware accelerated DirectShow filter video decoders. If no hardware accelerated DirectShow filter video decoders are present, then the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control uses the default software decoder. If multiple hardware accelerated DirectShow filter video decoders are present, then the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control selects one nondeterministically. We recommend that you include only one DirectShow filter video decoder per codec.

Windows Embedded Compact 7 supports Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control on the following processors:

  • ARMv6
  • ARMv7
  • MIPSII Floating Point
  • x86

Important

Adobe may require you to certify your class of devices if the device class includes the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control.
