Input Method Editor (IME) Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables (Compact 2013)

3/28/2014

In Windows Embedded Compact, you can develop an input method editor (IME) for OS designs that support languages that contain more characters than the keyboard can support.

With an input method editor (IME), a user can press a key, view character candidates displayed in the UI, and select the correct character to map to the key press.

For more information, see Input Method Editor (IME).

For more information about how to add or remove catalog items, see Create Your First OS.
