ArrayList.IsFixedSize Property

Gets a value indicating whether the ArrayList collection has a fixed size.

Syntax

public virtual bool IsFixedSize { get; }

Property Value

true if the ArrayList collection has a fixed size; otherwise, false. The default return value is false.

Remarks

After a collection with a fixed size is created, you cannot add objects to it or remove objects from it. You can, however, modify existing objects in the collection.

A collection with a fixed size is simply a collection with a wrapper that prevents the adding or removing of objects. Therefore, if changes are made to the underlying collection, including the addition or removal of elements, the fixed-size collection reflects those changes.

Available in the .NET Micro Framework versions 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2.
