Rename a Registry Entry (Compact 7)

You can rename a registry entry on a Windows Embedded Compact powered device by using the Remote Registry Editor.

To rename a registry entry

  1. In the left pane of the Remote Tools Shell window, click the Registry node for your device.

  2. Expand a registry tree and click a registry entry to rename.

  3. On the Registry Editor menu, click Rename.

  4. In the Set Value dialog box, type a new name for the registry entry in the Value Name text box.

  5. Click OK.

Changes to the registry entry appear in the Remote Tools Shell window.
