Connecting Transform Filters

This topic describes some of the connection issues faced when creating a transform filter. Connecting any two filters requires negotiating which media types to use and deciding on a common allocator for passing samples. Because transform filters are connected on both sides, and because some transform filters use the media types and allocators of other filters in the graph, it is important to understand the concepts involved in transform filter connections.
