Setting up the AMD DBAu1500 Development Board Hardware

You need to set up and connect the AMD DBAu1500 Development Board to a development workstation before you can download the Windows CE boot loader to your SDB.

To set up the AMD DBAu1500 Development Board hardware

  1. Connect a serial cable to the debug serial port connector.

Note   The AMD DBAu1500 Development Board uses a regular serial cable to connect to an external device, such as a modem, and does not use a null modem cable like other standard development boards (SDBs).

  2. Connect an Ethernet cable to the network connector on the AMD DBAu1500 Development Board and to the development workstation or Ethernet hub.

  3. On the baseboard, insert the video card into the PCI slot.

  4. Connect the power supply to the board.
