Setting Up the Hitachi US7729 HARP (Keywest) SDB Hardware

The following steps show you how to connect the Hitachi US7729 HARP (Keywest) SDB to a development workstation.

To set up the Hitachi US7729 HARP (Keywest) SDB hardware

  1. Plug in the ATX 20-pin block power terminal to J1.

  2. Connect the serial cable from the DB9 front panel connector labeled Dbg Mfg on the Hitachi US7729 HARP (Keywest) SDB board to the COM port of the host development workstation.

    The front panel connector may also be labeled J9.

  3. Plug the Tahoe 140-pin connector into the Hitachi US7729 HARP (Keywest) SDB 140-pin connector using spacer board.

  4. Attach the Tahoe board to the top of the Hitachi US7729 HARP (Keywest) SDB board.

  5. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Debug Ethernet labeled Dbg Eth.

  6. Modify the Hitachi US7729 HARP (Keywest) SDB switches and jumpers.
