Setting the Sysgen variable to support ClearType
ClearType may be enabled for a platform by setting the __SYSGEN_GPE_CLEARTYPE environment variable. It is the responsibility of the OEM or IHV to enable ClearType for the platform by setting __SYSGEN_GPE_CLEARTYPE so that ClearType fonts can be implemented in applications executing on their platforms.
To set the Sysgen variable to support ClearType
Choose the FeatureView tab on the Workspace window.
Choose the platform name, right-click the feature or platform, and then choose Settings.

From the Platform menu, choose Settings. The Platform Settings dialog box appears.
To view the environment variables that are set for this platform, select the Environment tab.
In the dialog box, click New button. The New Environment Variable dialog box appears.
Add __SYSGEN_GPE_CLEARTYPE to the Variable Name field, and add 1 to the Variable Value field.
To close the New Environment Variable dialog box, choose OK. Then, to close the Platform Settings dialog box, choose OK.
