Enabling Product Ethernet on the Advantech PCM-5823 SDB

By default, the Advantech PCM-5823 does not enable product Ethernet. After you enable both Ethernet ports, you can download the OS image over one Ethernet port, and connect to the network and browse the Internet over the other Ethernet port.

To enable product Ethernet

  1. From the Platform menu, choose Settings. Set the DUAL_ETHER environment variable to enable the dual Ethernet ports.
  2. Rebuild the image.
