Winsock 2.0 Test (v4/v6)

The Winsock 2.0 Test (v4/v6) verifies that Winsock 2.0 and the transport stacks for IPv4 and IPv6 are present on the target device. The test also assesses the functionality of an Ethernet network driver by performing a simple data transfer.

The following table shows the hardware requirements for the Winsock 2.0 Test (v4/v6).

Requirements Description
Network interface card (NIC) A NIC that is supported by the Ethernet network driver. Test cases 101 and 102 require a NIC.

The following table shows the software requirements for the Winsock 2.0 Test (v4/v6).

Requirements Description
Tux.exe Tux Test Harness, which is required for executing the test.
Kato.dll Kato logging engine, which is required for logging test data.
Tooltalk.dll Application required by Tux.exe and Kato.dll. Handles the transport between the target device and the development workstation.
Ws2bvt.dll Test .dll file.

Note   When you run the Winsock 2.0 Test (v4/v6), the CETK temporarily copies files to the root directory of the target device. Before running the test, verify that there is at least 0.2 megabytes (MB) of free space in the root directory of the target device. If there is not sufficient space in the root directory of the target device, the test cannot run.
