IMsTscAx::get_CipherStrength

This method retrieves the value of the CipherStrength property, which specifies the maximum encryption strength of the current control.

HRESULT get_CipherStrength(
  LONG* pCipherStrength
);

Parameters

  • pCipherStrength
    [out] Pointer to the value of the CipherStrength property.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK.

If it fails, the method returns a nonzero error code.

Remarks

For RDP client (version 5.1 and later) connections, the cipher strength is always 128 because the Remote Desktop ActiveX control supports encryption up to and including 128 bits. The 128-bit control can still connect to 56-bit encryption Terminal Service servers.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: Discodlg.h. Mstsax.idl.
