SCardIntroduceReader
This function introduces a new name for an existing smart card reader. Smart card readers are automatically introduced to the system.

Parameters
- hContext
[in] Handle to the resource manager context. The resource manager context is set by a previous call to SCardEstablishContext. - szReaderName
[in] Null-terminated string that contains the friendly name to be assigned to the reader. - szDeviceName
[in] Null-terminated string that contains the system name of the smart card reader device. For example, SCReader0.
Return Values
The following table shows the possible return values.
Value | Description |
---|---|
SCARD_S_SUCCESS | Succeeds |
An error value (see Smart Card Error Values for a list of all error values). | Fails |
Remarks
SCardIntroduceReader is a database management function.
To remove a reader, see SCardForgetReader.
