substringData method

Extracts a range of characters from the object.

Syntax

BSTR retVal = object.substringData(offset, Count);

Parameters

• offset [in]
  Type: long

  long that specifies the offset from which to start.

• Count [in]
  Type: long

  long that specifies the number of characters to extract.

Remarks

IHTMLDOMTextNode2::substringData was introduced in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6

If the sum of the offset and Count parameters exceeds the number of characters in the object, then an error is returned.
