Removing a Macintosh-accessible volume
If you want to make a volume unavailable to Macintosh users, you must remove it. Removing the volume does not delete the files contained in the volume, nor does it delete its status as a shared directory if it has been designated as such for users of x86-based computers. Removing only removes its status as a Macintosh-accessible volume.
