Create a DNS application directory partition

To create a DNS application directory partition
Open Command Prompt.
Type:
dnscmd ServerName /CreateDirectoryPartitionFQDN

ServerName |
Required. Specifies the DNS host name of the DNS server. You can also type the IP address of the DNS server. To specify the DNS server on the local computer, you can also type a period (.). |
/CreateDirectoryPartition |
Required. Creates a DNS application directory partition. |
FQDN |
Required. Specifies the name of the new DNS application directory partition. You must use a DNS fully qualified domain name (FQDN). |
Notes
By default, only members of the Enterprise Admins group can create a DNS application directory partition.
To open a command prompt, click Start, point to All programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command prompt.

dnscmd /CreateDirectoryPartition /?
