Create translation table in WMIC

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To create a translation table in WMIC

Locate the Managed Object Format (MOF) file, CliEgAliases.mof, located in the %WINDIR%\system32\wbem directory.
Open the MOF file in Notepad.
Create a new translation table as an instance of MSFT_CliTranslateTable.
Define the Name property of the translation table being created.
Define the FromValue and ToValue properties of Instance of MSFT_CliTranslateTableEntry.
Save the file, using UNICODE encoding.
From the command prompt, type:
```
Mofcomp CliEgAliases.mof
```

Note

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure.
