Add a file creator and type for Macintosh files

To add a file creator and type for Macintosh files

  1. Open Computer Management.

  2. In the console tree, right-click Shared Folders.

    Where?

    • Computer Management/System Tools/Shared Folders

  3. Click Configure File Server for Macintosh.

  4. In the Properties dialog box, click the File Association tab, and then click Add.

  5. Type the Creator and File Type, or select them by clicking the arrow, and then, optionally, add a description.

Notes

  • To open Computer Management, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.

  • The new creator and type is added to the file association list.
