Prioritize print jobs
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To prioritize print jobs
If necessary, create two (or more) printers and share them.
Open Printers and Faxes.
Right-click a printer, and then click Properties.
On the Advanced tab, in Priority, select a priority.
Higher priority jobs will print before lower priority jobs. For example, a priority-1 job will print before a priority-2 job.
Notes
To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
Print Server for Macintosh is not available on the 64-bit versions of the Windows operating systems.
