Document the reason for an unexpected restart or shutdown of your local computer
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To document the reason for an unexpected restart or shutdown of your local computer
Under Why did the computer shut down unexpectedly, specify the appropriate reason from the list.
If your organization has a trouble-ticketing system, you can enter a Problem Id.
If a comment is required, the OK button will not function until you type at least one character in the text box.
Note
- To perform this procedure, you must have the user rights to shut down the local system. For a list of security groups that have this right by default on computers running the Windows Server 2003 family operating systems, see "Privileges" in Related Topics.
Information about functional differences
- Your server might function differently based on the version and edition of the operating system that is installed, your account permissions, and your menu settings. For more information, see Viewing Help on the Web.
