Using disk cleanup tab

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To use the disk cleanup tab

  1. Open MMC.

  2. Click File on the menu bar.

  3. Click Options on the drop-down menu. The Options dialog box opens, displaying two tabs.

  4. Click the Disk Cleanup tab.

  5. To delete the console files, click Delete Files.

  6. Close the dialog box by clicking OK.

  7. To cancel, click Cancel at the bottom of the dialog box.

Notes

  • To open MMC, click Start, click Run, type mmc, and then click OK.

  • The text on the Disk Cleanup tab states that changes to the view of a console file are saved in your profile. The amount of disk space used on the computer for these console changes is indicated on the Disk Cleanup tab.
