Description
Identifies the hardware profile currently in use on the computer.
The value of this entry corresponds to the number of one of the Profile-number subkeys in the CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles subkey of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. (HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles). It indicates the Profile-number subkey that stores the values that make up the current profile. The content of the indicated subkey also appears in the Hardware Profiles\Current subkey in Hardware Profiles.
This value also corresponds to the number of one of the Profile-number subkeys in the Hardware Profiles subkey of IDConfigDB (HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\IDConfigDB\Hardware Profiles). This subkey stores information about the hardware profiles configured for use on the computer, including FriendlyName, which stores the name of the profile used in System in Control Panel.
