The IPMI provider is a standard WMI provider that supplies classes, methods, and properties that represent Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) configuration and sensor data. The IPMI provider obtains BMC data through the IPMI driver.

This might be an issue with the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC). Contact your hardware platform vendor to report the issue. The hardware vendor may provide: a BIOS patch, a firmware patch, or new hardware.

Verify

To test that the IPMI provider is functioning correctly, check that the RequestResponseEx method of the Microsoft_IPMI WMI class returns a CompletionCode of 0 (Command completed normally.)
