Checklist: Back Up or Restore an AD LDS Instance

Applies To: Windows Server 2008

By default, each instance of Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) that is running on an AD LDS server stores its database file and the associated log files in an instance-specific directory. Include these files as part of the regular backup plan of your organization. You can back up the directory using Windows Server Backup or another backup utility.
