Resolve

Check disk space

Turn Off the virtual machine, and then move the virtual hard disk associated with the virtual machine to a volume with additional disk space.  Reconfigure the virtual machine to point to the new location of the virtual hard disk and then restart the virtual machine.

Verify

The operation on the virtual machine that was failing now succeeds.
