Resolve

Check file name extension

Ensure that the image file in question has the correct file name extension (.vhd for virtual hard disks, .vfd for virtual floppy disks and .iso for ISO images), has the right permissions, and is attached.

Verify

The vhdsvc service is displayed in a running state in the service control manager and all the operations on vhd files complete successfully.
