Run the Network Tuner
Typically this message is informational and no action is required. If you are experiencing poor audio or video performance associated with these events, your Windows Media Center PC may be experiencing high CPU usage or conditions on the network that may be impacting playback. You should run the Network Performance Tuner.
To run the Network Performance Tuner:
- Ensure your Media Center Extender has been successfully partnered to your PC running Windows Media Center.
- On the Media Center Extender, make sure the Windows Media Center Start menu is visible.
- Select Task, and then Tune Network.
- To accurately measure your network performance, make sure no media playback occurs on the Media Center Extender while the Network Performance Tuner is in use.
Note: For best results, turn off your Media Center Extender and restart it before running the Network Performance Tuner so that all Media Center Extender resources are cleared.
