Enlist a DNS Server in a DNS Application Directory Partition
Applies To: Windows Server 2008
After you create a Domain Name System (DNS) application directory partition to store a zone, you must enlist the DNS server that hosts the zone in the application directory partition. For more information, see Understanding DNS Zone Replication in Active Directory Domain Services.
Membership in DnsAdmins or Domain Admins, or the equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at Local and Domain Default Groups (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477).
