Delete a Site Link object

Applies To: Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2

If you are removing a site and you no longer need a site link, you can use this procedure to delete a site link object.

Membership in Enterprise Admins, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at Local and Domain Default Groups (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477).

  1. Open Active Directory Sites and Services: On the Start menu, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Sites and Services.

  2. In the console tree, expand Sites and Inter-Site Transports, and then click IP.

  3. In the details pane, right-click the site link object that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

  4. Click Yes to confirm your choice.
