DFS-R: There should not be a large number of replication conflicts in the replicated folder '{0}'

Issue

DFS Replication experienced a large number of replication conflicts in the replicated folder '{0}' that belongs to the replication group '{1}'. This indicates that users are editing the same files almost simultaneously on multiple servers. DFS Replication is not meant for real-time collaboration scenarios because it uses the last-writer-wins conflict resolution strategy.

Impact

Users will lose their updates if a newer version of the file with conflicting changes is replicated in from another replication member.

Resolution

If the replicated folder '{0}' is part of a DFS namespace, override the DFS referral ordering so that users are referred preferentially to a single folder target. To allow multiple users to work closely with the same files, consider using the file check-out feature of Windows SharePoint Services.
