FSRM: There should be fewer than 1000 file screens configured on the server

There are more than 1000 file screens configured on the server.

Impact

The File Server Resource Manager user interface will perform slowly.

Resolution

Use File Server Resource Manager to delete unneeded file screens or to consolidate individual file screens. If this is not possible, use command-line tools or scripts to administer file screens.

To delete unneeded file screens by using File Server Resource Manager

  1. Open File Server Resource Manager.

  2. In the console tree, expand File Screening Management, and then click File Screens.

  3. For each unneeded file screen, right-click the file screen and click Delete.
