Migrate AD FS 1.x Federation Service Settings to the AD FS 2.0 Federation Service
Use the following procedure to record the settings in your Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) 1.x Federation Service deployment and step through the migration of those settings to the AD FS 2.0 Federation Service. You can use the AD FS snap-in on the source AD FS 1.x federation server to identify which settings to record in the following table.
Note
Settings are shown in each of the tables in this topic only when there is an equivalent AD FS 2.0 Federation Service setting that corresponds to an AD FS 1.x Federation Service setting. Most settings are optional. Only the settings tha are marked with an asterisk (*) are required for the successful migration of AD FS 1.x Federation Service settings to AD FS 2.0.
To migrate AD FS 1.x Federation Service settings to AD FS 2.0
You perform the steps in this table only once for each AD FS 1.x Federation Service that you are migrating to AD FS 2.0.
