Process a letter of guarantee
This procedure explains the letter of guarantee process that occurs after the configuration has been completed in the previous unit.
To create a sales order with a letter of guarantee, follow these steps:
- Go to Accounts receivable > Orders > All sales orders.
- Select New.
- In the Customer account field, enter or select a value.
- Expand the General section.
- In the Site field, enter or select a value.
- In the Warehouse field, enter or select a value.
- In the Bank document type field, select Letter of guarantee.
- Select OK.
- In the Item number field, enter or select a value.
- In the Unit price field, enter a number.
- Expand the Line details section.
- Select the Delivery tab, and then set the Delivery date control to None
- In the Requested ship date field, enter a date.
- In the Confirmed ship date field, enter a date.
Process a letter of guarantee request
- On the Action Pane, select Manage.
- Select Letter of guarantee.
- On the Action Pane, select Letter of guarantee.
- Select Request to open the drop dialog.
- In the Type field, enter or select a value.
- In the Value field, enter a number.
- In the Expiration date field, enter a date and time.
- Select OK.
- Close the page.
Submit a letter of guarantee to the bank
- Go to Cash and bank management > Letters of guarantee > Letters of guarantee.
- In the list, find and select the desired record.
- Select Submit to bank to open the drop-down dialog box.
- In the Bank account field, enter or select a value.
- Select OK.
Receive a letter of guarantee from the bank
- Go to Cash and bank management > Letters of guarantee > Letters of guarantee.
- Select Receive from bank to open the drop-down dialog box.
- In the Bank number field, type a value.
- Verify the values in the calculated Margin and Expense fields.
- Select OK.
- Expand the Actions section.
- Verify the Receive from bank record.
- Select to follow the link in the Journal batch number field.
- Select Lines.
- Verify the posting of journal entries.
- Close the page.
Process a Give to beneficiary record for a letter of guarantee
- Go to Accounts receivable > Orders > All sales orders.
- In the list, select the link of the last sales order that you created.
- On the Action Pane, select Manage.
- Select Letter of guarantee.
- On the Action Pane, select Letter of guarantee.
- Select Give to beneficiary to open the drop-down dialog box.
- Select OK.
- Go to Cash and bank management > Letters of guarantee > Letters of guarantee.
- In the list, find and select the desired record.
- Select Give to beneficiary to open the drop-down dialog box.
- Select OK.
- Expand the Actions section.
- Validate the Give to beneficiary record.
Increase the value of a letter of guarantee
- Go to Accounts receivable > Orders > All sales orders.
- In the list, select the link of the last sales order that you created.
- On the Action Pane, select Manage.
- Select Letter of guarantee.
- On the Action Pane, select Letter of guarantee.
- Select Increase value to open the drop-down dialog box.
- In the Value to add field, enter a number.
- Select OK.
- Go to Cash and bank management > Letters of guarantee > Letters of guarantee.
- In the list, find and select the desired record.
- Select Increase value to open the drop-down dialog box.
- Select OK.
- Expand the Actions section.
- Verify the Increase value record.
- In the list, find and select the desired record.
- Select to follow the link in the Journal batch number field.
- Select Lines.
- Verify the posted journal entries.
Liquidate a letter of guarantee
- Go to Accounts receivable > Orders > All sales orders.
- In the list, select the link of the last sales order that you created.
- On the Action Pane, select Manage.
- Select Letter of guarantee.
- On the Action Pane, select Letter of guarantee.
- Select Liquidate to open the drop-down dialog box.
- Select OK.
- Go to Cash and bank management > Letters of guarantee > Letters of guarantee.
- In the list, find and select the desired record.
- Select Liquidate to open the drop-down dialog box.
- Select OK.
- Expand the Actions section.
- Verify the Liquidate record.
- In the list, find and select the desired record.
- Select to follow the link in the Journal batch number field.
- Select Lines.
- Verify the posted journal entries.
- Close the page.
