This module introduces the finance and operations apps and Microsoft Dataverse capabilities, including dual-write and virtual entities and tables. Additionally, it reviews the development experience for developing new, custom entities or extending existing entities.
Learning objectives
In this module, you will:
- Review technical and development aspects of dual-write.
- Learn about dual-write integration keys, company striping, and bootstrapping of Microsoft Dataverse data.
- Learn about application lifecycle management (ALM) and environment lifecycle management (ELM) for both apps involving dual-write.
- Explore the use of filters in finance and operations apps and Dataverse.
- Explore error handling scenarios for initial sync and live sync.
- Explore best practices, patterns, and anti-patterns scenarios of initial synch, piggybacking, custom triggers, and more.
