Create consumption reports
Now that you have created and posted consumption registrations on work orders, you can view the consumption details in two ways: asset consumption and work order consumption.
Asset consumption report
The asset consumption report will show you the hours, hour costs, item costs, and expenses that are posted on assets. The following procedure shows how you can view this report.
Go to Asset management > Reports > Assets > Asset consumption. The Asset consumption dialog box appears, where you can set the parameters and the amount of detail that you want to see on the report. For example, if you want the report to include the work order types or show job types, then select Yes on those buttons.
The Levels field is where you can group asset lines by functional locations. For example, if you enter 1, all assets for a functional location are shown on the top level. This approach can be useful if you have a multi-level functional location structure. If you enter 0, the report will show all assets on all functional levels where they are related.
On the Sum on all sub assets toggle button, select Yes if you want the report to include the sums for each sub asset.
Enter the start date for the report in the From date field and the date that you want the report to end in the To date field.
The Destination FastTab is where you can determine how you want to view the report. You can select from On screen, Print it, Save it as a file, or email.
On the Records to include FastTab, you can use the filter to select specific assets to be included in the report.
The Run in the background FastTab allows you to define a recurrence, if you want this report to run at a specific time, date, or frequency. In addition, you can set up a batch job alert to notify you if the report has ended, if an error has occurred, or if the report was canceled.
After you have completed the task, select OK to generate the report.
