Summary
The Release, Start, and Report as finished stages are considered part of the production life cycle. The End stage is then completed after the order is reported as finished.
Properties are associated with an item number, a production order, an operation, and a resource. Resource capabilities help create resource alternatives for job scheduling to help you decide if enough capacity is available in the primary resource. Routing groups contain general information about setups that are related to one or several routes, and they are attached to each operation that is included in the route.
Operations and jobs are given priorities and sorted according to various criteria. Before you close the order, a final price calculation is conducted that covers the consumption of items, services, received items, and operations.
Scrap is one of the company's expenses that can be managed and calculated by using Supply Chain Management. Scrap settings can be set at the BOM, the resource, or the route levels. Constant and variable amounts of scrap can be used to reflect different types of production. By combining the scrap at each operation, the total scrap for a route can be calculated and used in production planning. Scrap is accounted for by using the production's actual costs based on actual material and time consumption.
