To get the most benefit from this exercise, we recommend that you have the standard sample data that's available in Supply Chain Management, which you can install by using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Lifecycle Services.

Add a configurable product to a sales order line

To add a configurable product to a sales order line in the USMF company, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Accounts receivable > Orders > All sales orders and select New on the Action Pane.

  2. Specify the customer account and then select OK.

  3. Expand the Sales order lines FastTab and then select Add line.

  4. In the Item number field, select D0006.

  5. In the Quantity field, enter 5.

  6. Select Product and supply above the sales order line and then select Configure line.

  7. On the Configure selected item page, select Load templates.

  8. Select Full speaker solution > OK.

  9. Note the information that populates in the Additional insurance, Include cable, and Cable size fields. Select OK.

  10. Expand the Line details FastTab and then select the Product tab. Note the configuration of the item.

  11. Select Save on the Action Pane.
