Hotfix Package 1 for Microsoft User Experience Virtualization 2.0 is now available

download432This one is UE-V specific but since so many App-V customers also use UE-V I thought I’d go ahead and post this here.

Consider the following scenario:

- You deploy the Microsoft User Experience Virtualization 2.0 agent.

- You have Microsoft Excel or another Dynamic Data Exchange-enabled program installed but have not started the program.

- You open a file that is associated with that program.

In this scenario, the application starts but no data is available. Additionally, you receive the following message:

There was a problem sending the command to the program

To resolve this issue, apply the hotfix package that is described in the KB article below:

KB2927019 - Hotfix Package 1 for Microsoft User Experience Virtualization 2.0 (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2927019)

When might we expect Hotfix 1 to be re-released for App-V 5.0 SP2? Dealing with many apps that no longer function properly on an SP2 clients, even if the package has been recaptured with the SP2 sequencer.

Hi, is there a possibility to deploy this hotfix over WSUS. Importing an update in WSUS did not work, it could not be found in the Microsoft Update Catalog. Thanks for any help

The KB page for this hotfix lists the target platform as x86. When you go to download the hotfix, only the x64 version is listed. Is the KB page information incorrect or should there be a both an 32 bit and a 64bit version of the patch?
