Refresh now available for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Instance Adapter

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Instance Adapter has been refreshed to include a number of updates that will allow for even more entities to be synced between Microsoft Dynamics CRM instances than before.

These entities include:

  • Products
  • Invoices
  • Orders
  • Quotes
  • Territories
  • Currencies
  • Facilities / Equipment
  • Units
  • Unit Groups
  • Opportunities and Opportunity Products
  • Activities

While previously supported, some users did experience issues when attempting to sync these entities; those issues should be resolved now.  You can simply re-download the .zip archive and select to replace your existing files to get this update when extracting the new archive to the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics installation directory.  It should also be noted that the following entity dependencies are not enforced by the adapter so you will have to follow the proper order when running the initial sync between Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 instances.

More information on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Instance Adapter can be found in this post: blogs.msdn.com/b/dynamicsconnector/archive/2012/10/24/connector-for-microsoft-dynamics-now-offers-microsoft-dynamics-crm-to-microsoft-dynamics-crm-integration-capabilities.aspx

I also see that a couple of new entities exist within CRM Account and Contact, can I clear down this table? I want to do this as, as when I attempt to delete an Active Account record I get a warning that "a record with these values already exists. A duplicate record cannot be created. Select one or more unique values and try again" This message appears to relate to the new Account table

@Ian - those entities are created as part of the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics Solution and should NOT have appeared in CRM unless you have also configured a standard integration with one of our ERPs.  They are used for delete tracking of Accounts and Contact within CRM when integrating to an ERP, if you are not integrating to an ERP you can safely remove them.
