Version 2.25.59.22280 updates

New Features

  • Users are now able to select multiple flows in the console at once, enabling the corresponding bulk actions:

    • Delete
    • Create desktop shortcut (for premium users)

These options are available either through the standard context menu, or via the new command bar that has also been introduced in the top section of the console.

Enhancements & Improvements

  • More built-in examples are now available for the Scripting group of actions in the console.

  • Administrators can now enforce the confirmation dialog for flows that are invoked externally via their run URLs or desktop shortcuts, or prevent users from using this feature altogether by disabling the corresponding functionality, via the respective registry setting.

  • Several performance improvements have taken place in the flow designer by re-organizing some internal resources, which have positively affected the responsiveness of the areas therein.

  • The UI of the filtering menu in the variables pane has been improved, also providing a new option to determine whether pinned variables should be included in the applied filtering or not.

  • The default options for web actions are now the physical mouse clicks and keystrokes, where applicable.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:

  • Switching tabs in the console is now taking place in a more responsive way.

  • Parsing error messages in the JSON editor of custom object input variables are now updated properly, if a new error occurs.

  • When closing the designer without making any changes to the flow, the popup dialog to save no longer comes up, since there are no unsaved changes.

  • An issue that took place, when the user hovered over an element for some time before capturing it during recording, has been resolved.

  • A displaying issue of the Site Address value on some SharePoint actions, occurring after navigating to the ‘On error’ screen and switching back to the primary one, has now been fixed.

  • An issue with the variable value window not being updated properly has been resolved.

  • The use of wild cards in the action ‘Download file(s) from FTP’, in case of a secure FTP connection, has been restored.

  • The highlighting rectangle during web recording has been fixed, so that it no longer shows outside the browser when hovering over certain web elements.

  • While replaying a recorded flow, the recorded option in a drop-down list is now always selected as expected.

  • The action ‘Wait for window content’ no longer hangs if the target app is minimized, when applied to File Explorer or the Microsoft Store.

  • Pressing three keys while using the recorder now produces the proper ‘Send keys’ action with the respective key combination.

  • Capturing an element with a text value of a sole ‘\r’ character no longer causes the flow to fail with parsing error.

  • ‘Wait for window content’ actions are now properly recorded, when the user takes some more time while selecting the respective options in the recorder’s context menu.

  • Launching a web browser and navigating to the provided URL via the recorder now produces a single browser launching action as expected.

  • The recorder’s highlighter now highlights the proper element and pauses, upon double right clicking on that element.

  • Recording now proceeds as expected, when the user right clicks on an element and then closes the context menu by clicking on the recorder window.

  • The recorder’s context menu now closes as expected, when the user selects another tab in the web browser.

  • The recorder doesn’t mistakenly record multiple ‘Go to web page’ actions anymore, on pages whose URL changes dynamically.

  • An issue with the ‘Wait for page to load’ parameter has been fixed, when the user has set a physical click to be performed in the respective web action.

  • A scrollbar now automatically appears in the UI element picker window, when multiple elements are captured in one go and the element list reaches the window’s height.

Other announcements

  • The support of UI automation for desktop apps in a Citrix or Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) virtual desktop with the use of a lightweight agent (Power Automate agent for virtual desktops) has now become generally available for all users.
