This message is sent by an application to an input method editor (IME) window to open or close the current IME.

Syntax

msg = (UINT)WM_IME_CONTROL;
wParam = (WPARAM)IMC_SETOPENSTATUS;
lParam = (LPARAM)bOpen;

Parameters

• bOpen
  Boolean that is set to TRUE if the IME is opened, or to FALSE if the IME is closed.

Return Value

Zero indicates success. Nonzero indicates failure.

Remarks

When processing this message, the IME window changes the current input context.
