A version of this page is also available for

Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3

4/8/2010

This property specifies whether the Windows Media Player control is enabled. This property is read/write.

Compatibility: Windows Media Player, ActiveMovie

Syntax

MediaPlayer.Enabled [ = bEnabled ]

Parameters

  • bEnabled
Boolean value specifying whether the Windows Media Player control is enabled. If true, the control is enabled. The default value is true.

Remarks

This property is identical to the standard Microsoft Visual Basic® Enabled property.

A disabled Windows Media Player control remains visible if it was already visible, and continues to play if it was already playing. However, the commands or menus do not respond to user input.

Disabling a control at design time is useful if you want to control the media stream from an external source, such as a custom group of controls on a Web page, instead of from the built-in controls panel.

ActiveMovie compatibility mode is only supported through Windows CE .NET 4.1.

Requirements

Windows Embedded CE Windows CE 3.0 and later
