FSDMGR_GetVolumeName

This function is called by a file system driver (FSD) to obtain the name of a volume with the specified handle.

Syntax

INT FSDMGR_GetVolumeName( 
  HVOL hVol, 
  PWSTR pwsName,
  int cchMax
);

Parameters

  • pwsName
    [out] Pointer to the string that contains the volume name. Set to NULL to obtain the size of the volume name.
  • cchMax
    [in] Maximum number of characters allowed in the buffer, including the terminating NULL. This is ignored if pwsName is set to NULL.

Return Value

The number of characters returned, not including the terminating NULL, indicates success. Zero indicates failure.

Remarks

An FSD calls this function after calling the FSDMGR_RegisterVolume function.
