SimWriteMessage

The SimWriteMessage function writes an Short Message Service (SMS) message to a particular storage location.

Note

Short Message Service (SMS) messages are always written to the first available storage location.

This function is part of the SIM Manager API set that enables access to information stored on the SIM card.

Syntax

HRESULT SimWriteMessage (
  HSIM hSim,
  DWORD dwStorage,
  LPDWORD lpdwIndex,
  LPSIMMESSAGE lpSimMessage
);

Parameters

  • hSim
    Points to a valid HSIM handle.
  • dwStorage
    A SIM_SMSSTORAGE constant.

    Value Description

    SIM_SMSSTORAGE_BROADCAST

    Broadcast message storage location.

    SIM_SMSSTORAGE_SIM

    SIM storage location.

  • lpdwIndex
    Set to the index where the message was written.
  • lpSimMessage
    Points to an Short Message Service (SMS) message structure.

Return Value

HRESULTs are either S_OK for success, or one of the SIM_E error constants defined in the SIM Manager Error Constants table.

Remarks

This is a privileged function.
