The following table shows the Power Management I/O controls with a description of the purpose of each.

Checks device-specific capabilities. |

Gets the current device power state. |

Checks whether changing power state is feasible. This I/O control is deprecated and is not called by Power Manager. |

Requests a change from one device power state to another. |

Notifies the parent device so the parent device can register all devices it controls. |
