Synchronizing the Calendar, Contacts, and Mail with the Testserver Example

4/8/2010

In this example, a device is configured to synchronize the calendar, contacts, and mail with a server (testserver) using the default settings. For example, the default settings might synchronize the last three days worth of e-mail, the last two weeks of appointments and all future appointments, and all contacts. The default frequency of updates while online during peak hours is set manually, with peak days set to Monday through Friday, peak times as 8 A.M. to 6 P.M., The default settings requires Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) when connecting to the server but allows users to change the setting to allow the use of a non-SSL server address when connecting to a Microsoft ActiveSync server.

Remarks

One provisioning XML file typically contains configuration information for multiple Configuration Service Providers. To use this example, you must replace the values as appropriate, and add the node as a child of the OMA Client Provisioning file. For information about the syntax of this file, see OMA Client Provisioning Files. For examples, see OMA Client Provisioning XML File Examples.
